Ambient Temperature Master Power Control Kit
This kit consists of a 12 VDC electronic ambient temperature sensor switch, which monitors the outside or RV enclosed basement temperature. Once it drops down to 35°F (1.6°C) it will power "on" the system's master power, and when it rises to 45°F (7.2°C) the sensor will power "off" the system, making it worry free and reducing the energy use to only when it is required. The sensor controls a power relay (included) that is wired inline for pass thru of the UltraHeat® system main power supply lines, there are two separate high amp contact switches within relay (30A -120/277 VAC, 20A-28 VDC, DPST), which can be used with either 13.5 VDC or 120/240 VAC UltraHeat® systems.
It is still required that each drainage system (Fresh, Grey & Black) be controlled separately by manual on/off switches (available separately); this gives even greater control over the system and power use, allowing the RV'er to independently switch "off" each system if fluids are not present or switch "on" as the utilities have been used.
Outside temperature must be at least 50°F (10°C) when applying tank, pipe and elbow heaters.
CAUTION
If you are adding to or retrofitting your RV with UltraHeat heaters, especially if your RV is more than three (3) years old, you may want to check first with an RV Dealer to make sure your on-board Power Converter has room for additional circuitry usage or, to determine if you need an additional Power Converter added to your RV or if you need to upgrade to a larger capacity Power Converter on your RV.
